Hygiene

Maintaining healthy gums is just as important as keeping your teeth in great shape! At Norfolk Endodontics, we offer dental hygiene services to help you stay on top of oral health and prevent future dental disease and decay.

About Hygiene at Norfolk Endo

Dental hygiene plays a vital role in the prevention of dental disease, and our hygienist is here to help you manage and improve your gum health.

Our hygiene services are focused on removing the causes of gum disease, such as plaque and tartar, while giving you the knowledge and tools needed to keep your smile healthy between visits.

Providing excellent endodontic care in a timely fashion.

How does it work?

Step 1: Assessing your Gum Health

If your gums undergo poor hygiene for extended periods, it can lead to inflammation, bleeding gums, bad breath, and even bone loss. During your appointment, we will assess your gum health and identify any areas needing attention.

Step 2: Scale and Polish

As well as achieving and maintaining gum health, we also provide a routine scale and polish. With the use of the latest equipment available, including Airflow, we can gently remove unsightly stains – resulting in a fresher, cleaner smile.

Step 3: Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT)

Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) is a modern, 8-step dental hygiene protocol using advanced technology like Airflow to gently detect and remove biofilm (bacterial plaque), stains, and early calculus, providing a comfortable and thorough alternative to traditional scraping methods.
